15th Anniversary of International Tampere Guitar Festival in Finland
Tampere Guitar Festival, the most prestige guitar event in Finland, celebrates its 15thAnniversary this summer. The festival is dedicated for guitar culture, especially for acoustic guitar. The event takes place on June 3rd– 9th2019 and consists of daily concerts, International Classical Guitar Competition of Finland, guitar courses and lectures.
The main artists of Tampere Guitar Festival 2019 are Assad Brothers (BRA), Frank Vignola Duo (USA) and Timo Korhonen (FIN). Show & Dinner event Midnight Sun Guitar Cruise provides a unique way to experience one of the common secrets of Scandinavia.
Tampere Guitar Festival is also a part of a project called EuroStrings – European Guitar Festivals Collaborative, which is funded by European Union during years 2018-2021. It is an expanding network which has members from 17 European countries and partners also from US and China. The project will bring several emerging young artists to perform in Finland. During their stay EuroStrings Artists will also teach young guitarists and are involved in many outreach projects.
