Tampere Guitar Festival 4.-12.6.2016

Youth Guitar Competition

38 guitarists from 9 countries will take part into the Youth Category of the Classical Guitar Competition of Finland 2021. About 74 % of the players come from Finland. Other countries of the participants are Germany, Portugal, Estonia, Serbia, Turkey, Romania, Spain and Canada.

The competition with three age groups will be held in real time during May 29-30 as an online competition. The competitors will perform from their locations while the jury, Andrzej Wilkus, Markku Laakso and Patrik Kleemola, is listening to them in a competition studio located in Tampere, Finland. Participants may share the online link to their families and teachers, who may attend by listening, watching and commenting in chat. Otherwise the event is not open for public.

The results will be announced on Sunday May 30th in an occasion for all the age groups. During this session each competitor will receive a short personal feedback from one of the jury members. While waiting for the feedback and the results, Erkki Ruokonen from Liikanen Guitars will tell some practical tips how to take care of the well-being of classical guitar.
